Cookie Policy
This is the standalone Cookie Policy for futuremediia.com. It is the source of truth for all cookie and similar-technology disclosures. A summary also appears in our Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as whether you have accepted the cookie banner or confirmed your age — across page loads and sessions. Similar technologies, including localStorage, sessionStorage, and tracking pixels, are covered by this policy and subject to the same consent rules as cookies.
2. Why We Use Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep Future Mediia running reliably, to remember your preferences (such as your consent choice), to understand in aggregate how visitors navigate the site, and — when you arrive via a paid advertising campaign and consent — to measure the effectiveness of those campaigns. The Corridor Reels game engine stores no data server-side; all game state lives in your browser's memory only and is not transmitted to us.
3. Categories of Cookies We Use
| Category | Purpose | Examples | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keep the site operational — age-gate acknowledgement, cookie-consent record, security. No consent required. | __age_ok, __cc_v1 | Session to 12 months |
| Performance / analytics | Anonymous traffic measurement using Cloudflare Web Analytics. Helps us understand which pages and features are most useful. Set only with consent. | __cf_bm | Up to 30 days |
| Functional | Remembers your UI preferences — such as the game volume state and accepted age-gate — so you do not have to re-confirm on every visit. Set only with consent. | __cc_v1 (preference layer) | Up to 12 months |
| Advertising / targeting | When you arrive via a paid advertising campaign (Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising), third-party advertising cookies may be set to measure campaign performance and attribute visits. These are set only with your explicit consent and only when a campaign is active. | Google gclid tracker, Microsoft MUID, __Host-_gclid | Up to 13 months |
4. Lawful Basis
This site is submitted for review under the EU GDPR (RGPD, règlement (UE) 2016/679) and the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés, LIL), supervised by the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés). Cookie consent follows the French ePrivacy rules (loi pour la confiance dans l'économie numérique, LCEN) per current CNIL cookie guidance.
Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of legitimate interest — they are required for the site to function and no consent is needed. All other categories (performance, functional, advertising) require your opt-in consent, which you give via the cookie banner on your first visit. You may withdraw that consent at any time — see Section 5.
5. How to Manage Your Cookies on Future Mediia
When you first visit the site, a cookie consent banner offers two options: "Accept all" (enables performance, functional, and advertising cookies in addition to strictly necessary ones) or "Essential only" (strictly necessary cookies only). Your choice is stored in localStorage.__cc_v1. To change your choice at any time, clear that key using your browser's developer tools, or clear all site data in your browser settings — the banner will reappear on your next visit.
6. How to Manage Cookies in Your Browser
Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies independently of this site's banner. Use the links below for step-by-step instructions:
Note: disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from functioning correctly.
7. Third-Party Cookies and Services
The following third-party services may set cookies or use similar technologies on futuremediia.com when you consent to the relevant category:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — provides our CDN, DDoS protection, and privacy-preserving analytics. Cloudflare may set
__cf_bmfor bot management. Cloudflare Privacy Policy. - Google Ireland Ltd (Google Ads) — if you arrive via a paid Google Ads campaign and have consented to advertising cookies, Google may set advertising identifiers to measure campaign performance. Google Cookie Policy.
- Microsoft Corporation (Microsoft Advertising) — similarly, Microsoft Advertising may set cookies when you arrive via a paid Microsoft campaign and have consented. Microsoft Privacy Statement.
8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser transmits a GPC opt-out signal when you visit the site, we treat it as a withdrawal of consent for analytics and advertising cookies — only strictly necessary cookies will be set, regardless of any prior banner selection. We do not currently make a formal Do Not Track (DNT) commitment because the DNT standard lacks a universally agreed definition; however, the GPC signal is actioned as described above.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, legislation, or our data practices. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to check back periodically.
